We’re sorry to hear that your filter’s hose adaptor fittings have broken. These parts are essential for a watertight and secure connection, and damage is often due to wear or incorrect handling over time.

Proper Use and Handling

  • The hose adaptor fittings are located at the top centre of the unit and contain internal tabs that open and close the water flow.

  • Always use the lever fully to open or close the taps.
Partial or forceful movement can place strain on the internal tabs, causing them to weaken or snap.

  • When removing the tap assembly, hold the adaptor down firmly while lifting the lever — this helps avoid stress or breakage.

Maintenance Tip

Each time you clean or service your unit:

  • Apply aquarium-safe lubricant to the O-rings before reassembling.

  • This helps maintain a good seal and reduces pressure on plastic fittings.

Please Note:

Damage to tap fittings caused by incorrect handling is classed as accidental damage and is not covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.

However, replacement hose adaptor fittings are available for purchase.
You can find them listed here.
