There are several potential reasons why your Box Filter may be overflowing. Here is a checklist to help you identify and resolve the issue:

  1. Pump Flow Rate: If you have a new setup, ensure that the pump you are using with the filter isn’t too powerful, as it could be filling the filter faster than it can empty.

  2. Homemade Filters: If you are using a homemade box filter, consider increasing the size of the exit hole/pipe to improve water flow.

  3. Blocked Outlet Pipe: Check the outlet pipe for blockages. A blocked pipe could restrict water flow, leading to overflow.

  4. Clogged Filter Media: Inspect the sponges or media in the filter. If they are too clogged, they will impede water flow, causing water to spill over the top rather than flowing through the outlet.

Important Note: If any modifications are made to our box filters, this could void your warranty. Please check your warranty for further details.
