Why do I need a UV for my Pond or Aquarium?

The ultra violet light reduces the pathogens in the water and prevents algae growth once the algae spores have been killed. It denatures all unwanted bacteria after being exposed to the ultra violet light. It will aid removal of the green tinge (Pea soup) that pond water suffers with during summer months due to constant direct sunlight or incorrect water chemistry.

Being an essential part of pond equipment needed for a successful healthy pond or aquarium. It’s a good way to limit algae without using any additives or treatments.  Only the strongest of UV’s however will kill parasites as the larger the organism the more exposure is required to kill it.
A Standalone UV Unit can easily be installed to existing filtration systems to prevent the build-up of algae or unwanted pathogens within you pond.
